WARNING: When using cartridges against substances having poor warning properties (such as Mercury which is colorless, odorless and invisible), there is no secondary means of knowing when to replace the cartridges/canister. In such cases, take appropriate additional precautions to prevent overexposure, which may include a more conservative change-out schedule. WHEN SELECTING RESPIRATOR STYLES & SIZES

The larger the respirator one can fit into properly, the more comfort. In general, most men will wear large, where-as most women wear medium. Small sizes usually work for people with a very short distance from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the chin.

Sold as a pair, our 3M Mercury Vapor Cartridge/ P100 Mercury Particulate Filter (60927) fits the complete line of 3M respirators (6000 & 7500 series half mask respirators and the 6000 series full mask respirators.) We offer a subscription for filters as 3M states the 60927 cartridges must be discarded within 50 hours of use against mercury vapor;

If you have not performed a Hazard Assessment to determine your filter change out schedule, 3M recommends changing the 60927 within 50 hours of exposure to mercury vapor, in accordance to your well-documented change-out schedule, or earlier if smell, taste, or irritation from contaminants is detected.

3M™ Versaflo™ TR-600 PAPR & TR-6590N Cartridges

3M Versaflo TR-600 Easy Clean PAPR Kit (TR-600-ECK) with hood, motor/blower, battery, breathing tube, belt and charger Our 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-600 Easy Clean PAPR Kit (TR-600-ECK) is a complete, ready-to-use powered air-purifying respirator. It includes the S-433L hood with integrated head suspension, TR-602N motor/blower, TR-630 rechargeable battery, BT-30 breathing tube, TR-627 Easy Clean belt, TR-971 airflow indicator, battery charger, and a TR-6710N HE particulate filter. The hood is loose-fitting, so no fit test is required, and the smooth, wipeable components are easy to clean between uses.

The blower has three user-selectable airflow settings (approximately 6.7, 7.2 and 7.8 cfm with a loose-fitting hood) and automatically adjusts to keep airflow steady as the filter loads. A standard battery runs approximately 4 to 13 hours on a full charge, depending on the airflow setting and filter or cartridge used, with low-airflow and low-battery alarms.

For mercury work, swap the kit’s particulate filter for the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-6590N Multi-Gas/HE Cartridge. With the TR-600 and S-433L hood, it is NIOSH approved for mercury vapor, organic vapor, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur dioxide, ammonia and methylamine, plus high-efficiency (HE) particulates (99.97%). Mercury has no odor or color to warn you, so please follow the cartridge warning at the top of this page. TR-6590N cartridges are sold singly or in a case of 5 in the table below.
